We’ve heard it a thousand times. Heck, we’ve said it a thousand times!
When the plane is ready to crash and the oxygen masks drop down, you have to put yours on before you can help the person next to you.
Every week, day after day, you are helping others.
Who’s helping you?
I come from a long line of entrepreneurs--self-made innovators and creators.
My experiences have taught me well. I'm grateful for all of the bumps, twists, and turns because they've led me to where I am today.
You see, my path wasn’t a straight and narrow one. I am not limited by anyone else’s predetermined confined set of expectations.
After years of striving for an externally motivated outcome, I was called to a deeper, richer internal purpose.
I returned to school and trained to become a professional counselor.
To my surprise, most of my colleagues struggled to make ends meet.
They had come to a crossroads in their careers.
Could they learn and operate their practice like an entrepreneur while still being a good clinician?
That answer is why I founded the Clinical Career Collective (a.k.a. C3).
C3 is a professional career development consultancy firm that nurtures and prepares mental health professionals on their path towards licensure— taking you through the clinical phase all the way to career design and advancement.
Together, we guide you away from indecisiveness, overwhelm, and uncertainty, that often begins in your clinical phase, to building your self-confidence and business acumen. Discover and craft your best practices—long after your official training and hourly credentialing ends.
Within our support community, you will become the professional clinician you dream of being. Let’s begin by working together to identify your true North Star.
Meet Amity Cooper
After more than 20 years of experience as a successful entrepreneur and launching multiple start-up businesses in different industries, something continued to nag me until it was satiated. I longed for the rewards of knowing that I helped another person realize their potential. I returned back to school to get a second Master's degree - this one in counseling.
With double Masters’ in Communications and Counseling and years of a successful career as an entrepreneur, I combine my love of business development, strategy, and relationship building with my passion for helping others to realize my true vocation.
I founded Clinical Career Collective to help mental health professionals and caregivers identify their strengths and empower them to take action towards their professional dreams. We do this by providing a community of support, mentorship, guidance, and learning that builds confidence, resourcefulness, and mastery— beginning in graduate school through the licensure process and beyond.
